“The leaves fall patiently
nothing remembers or grieves;
The river takes to the sea
the yellow drift of leaves.”
~Sara Teasdale
And so the seasonal wheel has turned again and here we are welcoming autumn to this hemisphere.
From a metaphysical standpoint this energetic alignment of the equinox has felt really powerful to me, and I’m doing my best to receive and integrate all the energies offered. Goodbye sweet summer; hello beautiful autumn.
Interestingly as the weekend unfolded I became aware of some new things I want to explore and focus on this season I hadn’t even considered a few days ago; and the same thing is true for my husband. New interests popping up on the radar are always exciting. I’m thinking this is going to be a very intriguing season.
I really like the above quote by Sara Teasdale. There’s an openness about it that feels particularly inviting – a reminder that things are unfolding perfectly. As curious and excited as I am about this new season, I suspect I may need to return to that reminder more than once over the next few months.
And along those lines I wish you a most wonderful autumn filled with bright adventures, glorious illuminations, gentle releasing, and much much joy.
It really is amazing how new opportunities, and interests pop out of nowhere. You have a plan or no plan at all and then something comes and changes everything. Being open to these changes and quick on your feet to accept great opportunities is so important.
It’s fun to remember to be open and welcoming to happy surprises and then see what shows up.
