I had an amusing dream last night. I met up with a friend and we started our conversation with a discussion of how our days had gone. We weren’t very far into our recaps when my friend thrust a bouquet at me and asked “What do you think of this?”
I was thinking perhaps this required my pulling out a floriography language-of-flowers dictionary to interpret the meanings of particular blossoms, but I realized that isn’t what they meant. I looked at the flowers and saw all the daisies had eyes!
I love when my dreams pun. It cracks me up every single time. And here was a perfect example. Day Sees.
I doubt I’ll ever look at a daisy the same way again. And perhaps they’ll be looking back as well.
I couldn’t resist incorporating this idea into my contribution for this month’s Artists in Blogland’s Color this Quote Challenge. The challenge was to interpret the quote “Seize the day.”
LOL – don’t tell me your mind didn’t immediately jump to Seize = Sees.
So here we have it, a bouquet of flowers that Sees the Day.
Do stop by Artists in Blogland and see how others colored the quote.
I’m also linking up to Artysville’s Glue It Tuesday, because it’s Tuesday and I glued. Pop by there as well and check out the gluey goodness.
And may your dreams keep you laughing as well!
Love the fun collage, and the dream story. You are a great storyteller.
Thanks for the kind words. LOL – I’m not sure I’ve ever been called a great storyteller, but I’m happy to put it into my pool of possibility. So thanks for that as well.
very adorable! I wrote down a dream this morning, that I made myself remember from last night. Hope to use it on a journal page too! {:-Deb

caught that mistake at the last moment {:-D
LOL – those tricky fingers that automatically do the typing!
Oh good for you. A remembered dream always feels like a special gift to me. Hope you have fun journaling it.
Loving that you use your dreams for inspiration. What a funny little dream. Makes me think the black-eyed-susans must be a little jealous though 🙂
LOL – yes those black-eyed susans have to watch out for that green-eyed monster.
I’m spelling it daysees from now on!
LOL – perfect!
