Welcome 2010 – I have to say I’m ready for some sparkly newness – bring it on!
But just to make sure that I encourage a continuance of all the things I already love about my life, I spent today in a practice I learned from Waverly Fitzgerald, doing a little bit of everything that makes me happy. Isn’t that a lovely way to set the tone for the year?
In continuing with my 12-day observation, today I also did a tarot reading to begin looking at what energies I’m opening for 2010. I do a rather unconventional personal-to-me spread using draws from several decks. I had to smile when the primary card I drew was Seated Angel Flying from the Triple Goddess deck. Mara Barendt Friedman is the artist who illustrated the deck. I love the image and the message of the card, and I suspect I’ll be talking more about it in upcoming posts. It’s always interesting to see how these things unfold and expand over a course of time, and already I have whispers to pay attention to.
Today was a wonderful day – it felt so full of potentials and possibilities, punctuated by familiar treats and things that make my heart smile. A very good beginning indeed.
I, too, am ready for some sparkly newness. 🙂
My New Year’s Day was really hard – a dramatic climax to a tough situation I’ve been dealing with most of the year.
But, thanks to me being smart enough to fill my life with people who care about me and mine, who remind me who I am (like you!), I truly see an opportunity to create something strong and wonderful out of the ashes of something old and hurtful.
Thanks, Deborah – for being you. Your friendship and the connection we’ve made were a big, positive part of my New Year’s Day, and your prominent part in my 2010 is established! (Hope that doesn’t scare you too much! LOL)
XOXOXO
Suzanne
