is for Flower Evolution
I had a most delightful time last night. Katie Hess, founder of Lotus Wei and creator of a lovely line of flower essences is on tour and Chicago was one of the stops.
As a flower essence practitioner and someone who works extensively with the Lotus Wei line, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to meet her. But it was more than a chance to meet and greet and have her sign a copy of her recently published book Flower Evolution.
The evening was three hours of wonderful immersion into flowers and essences and high vibe serenity, The event was part of the Midwest & West coast tour entitled Thunder Moon Flowerlounge.
The fact that it was a particularly hot and uncomfortably humid day was quickly set aside, when we were greeted with cool towels infused with flower essences, and then smudged with Palo Santo before entering the lovely flower-decorated space.
Katie and her staff led us through some wonderful sensory magic, some gentle movement, offered essence-infused chocolate to meditate with, helped us connect with others in small-group ceremony, and invited us to set intentions and hold energy. We wrote blessings and wishes for each other, and throughout the evening indulged in flower essences and scent-infused sprays, and soaked up the beauty of little altars and flower and candle creations scattered throughout the space. All the essences we worked with were specifically chosen for our location and this Flowerlounge. And when the group “work/play” was finished, there was time for flower card readings, book signing, and more socializing.
It was an entirely lovely experience. Below are a few photos I took, but if you’re curious you can scope out some brief videos about the experiences from other Flowerlounges here.
And now I have the Flower Evolution book to read – a perfect project to undertake during this month of celebrating all things floral. The book is an introduction to Katie Hess and her passion for flower essences, as well as an introduction to 48 different flowers and their vibrational energy signatures and magic, plus various ways you can explore the energies. The photos were taken by Louie Schwartzberg and they’re fabulous. It’s a beautiful book indeed.
Like Katie, I absolutely believe in the power of flower essences and the importance of vibrational alignment and integrity. Flowers are beautiful teachers for all our senses. I’m grateful for the gifts flowers have offered me in my own personal evolution, and I love that more and more people are exploring the transformational powers of vibrational and energy attunement.
What about you? Do you use flower essences? Create flower mandalas? Had an experience recently that filled you with delight? Do tell – you know I love to hear.
Sounds delightful! Lovely pictures. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I could share some of the serenity and the flowers as well. 🙂
