This is my first month playing in Jamie Ridler’s Full Moon Dreamboard practice, in which she invites people to reflect on the energies of the current full moon and create through words and pictures what they’d like to invite into their lives.
This is the full Harvest Moon, and of course a time to celebrate abundance and the riches in our lives. But it’s also a time to gather those seeds from what you’ve grown and harvested – in order to have them to plant anew when the cycle returns to its growth phase come Spring.
My life is very abundantly blessed in all sorts of ways. But what’s most important in my life, and the seeds I most want to continue to replant and grow and harvest again are Love and Joy. These are the kinds of things that aren’t really tangible crops to harvest out of Mother Earth, but rather seeds to plant in the fertile ground of one’s heart.
I laughed when I was recently received the cookie fortune that I’ve attached to the top of my Dream Board. It reads “No one is happy who does not think himself so.” How perfect is that for a reflection for this full moon? We truly do harvest what we believe.
I hope you’re harvesting all manner of wonderful things for yourself too. And finding ways to share what you have surplus of. That’s real abundance.

I love this gorgeous board. I sighed when I saw it.
And something about even the name Harvest Moon makes me smile really big. It just feels good in my bones. Maybe that’s because this is my very favorite time of the year.
