I have a lovely little piece of Lepidolite with several bits of Rubellite in it. It’s such a dear friend. There’s no mistaking that this is a sweet lithium-based stone, but this particular spirit feels like it’s tweaked that energy up a notch into pure unabashed loving happiness.
I remember when I got it I was with a friend who teased me about being a magpie and always going for the shiny glittery things. I had to laugh at the truth of that, but I knew my attraction to this stone was much more. She makes me think of Spring and all of it’s promise, and the little bits of Rubellite remind me of new little shoots first emerging from the ground. I’m always reminded of the pure magic of Spring-time growth – how things so fragile and new have such enormous potential. I suppose the connection to Spring is also reinforced for me by the lovely lilac and pink colors, and I don’t imagine it’s a coincidence that this stone spirit seems to like the scent offerings of spring-time flower oils that I like to leave nearby. This has felt like a LONG winter, and I’m ready for each and every reminder that Spring will eventually be arriving!
For me Lepidolite is such a wonderful heart stone – and a good one to include in any Valentine’s celebration. And no matter what your day looks like, I hope you always remember you are loved.
