I’m gradually dipping my toes back into my world after having been away for a week at a retreat/gathering with a group of spiritual sisters. Oh my what a profound and wonderful experience! I’m a changed woman no doubt about it.
Each day at the retreat I was awakened by the calling of one of my beloved crows, just in time to witness the sky turning pink. The blessing of watching the world begin anew. And each morning I felt Crow was reminding me of that for myself as well – the blessing of beginning anew.
While I hope always to hold that image in my heart, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to capture it in a journal as well. And it gives me a opportunity to play in Artsyville’s Glue It Tuesday fun as well.
What constitutes a wonderful morning wake up for you? Do tell, I’d love to hear.
HI Deborah,
Sounds like fun to do a retreat with your sisters and the crows!
It really WAS fun Amy – I’m still basking in it all.
Wonderful journal pages! I really like the coral background…it looks like hand made paper.
My favorite way to wake up? On a Saturday when I have no immediate plans : )
Lynn
Ah yes – it’s delightful to wake up into the realm of all possibility isn’t it?!
My favorite wonderful wake up is that brief moment where I’m not fully awake and I get a blessed message full of insight for somewhere out there in the Universe. These are always so helpful and special to me.
Oh yes Michele – those “between” moments are such a blessing!
Really enjoyed seeing your work. The crow really is mysterious. Nice job.
Happy Glue It Tuesday!
Rinda
Thanks Rinda – I appreciate you stopping by!
I love waking up with the thought I am going to work. I love my job and I love your crow art!
Oh yay Ros – nothing better than doing what you love!
your journal page is a great way of putting those lovely mornings on paper! Lovely pink paper – looks handmade!? {:-Deb
Your comment made me think about paper mornings – that’s a lovely thought isn’t it?! And yes, the paper is handmade – and very very soft, like pink clouds.
creative retreats are fantastic! the landing back to reality, however, is another thing! hello to your lovely enigmatic crow 🙂
LOL – yes you’ve got that right Aimee!
I love the journal pages. My favorite way to wake up is on Saturdays and Sundays, knowing I have time to sit outside for awhile and watch the birds, butterflies, and outdoor cats flying and running around, happy to be alive another day.
(When I typed “flying,” I guess my fingers were one key to the right and I typed “gluing.”)
Sounds perfect Candace! And having had the pleasure of being in your outdoor space, I have to say it really is a magical vibrant place.
I love these pages. Its an intimate beautiful moment. That is exactly why I love being a “morning” person. Each morning it is like having a personal conversation with the day before it actually gets going. Glad you enjoyed your time with your ‘sisters’ as well. What a blessing. On a different note, I am going to an event in a couple of weeks to listen to a channeler (I don’t know if that is proper terminology or not, my apologies if it isn’t). We are all invited to arrive with questions as it will be a dialog between all parties. I don’t have any questions at the moment BUT I am super excited about the experience.
Anyway, great to have found you on the web and I will be back!
Peace~
Dawn
Oh I love that description – “having a personal conversation with the day before it actually gets going.” That’s so perfect! And it’s clear you carry special morning medicine given your name Dawn as well. How lovely.
The upcoming channeling event sounds wonderful – enjoy!
