is for people
There are so many people in my life I’m grateful for. Which always makes me laugh a bit in wondrous delight because the truth of the matter is I’m excessively introverted and a world-class reclusive. But still, my life is filled with and touched by so many wonderful people, and I’m grateful to them all.
And one of the fun things about having a blog is I can give shout outs to whomever I like, and help spread the word about their awesomeness. Link loveifying.
So today, on the eve of this month’s full moon, under the P = people entry of my gratitude abecedarium, let me introduce you to two moon-y connected people I love.
I was first introduced to Ixchel as a moon goddess. Although deeper exploration reveals that connection isn’t the strongest to her essence, I still always think of Ixchel and the moon together.
So of course when Melissa Ixcheldevi appeared on my radar I was intrigued by her name. And then I discovered her lovely energy. In October she began offering what I assume will be an ongoing seasonal series she’s calling passage journeys. I’ve been playing in this first round and enjoying the gentle support and creative encouragement, and I’m grateful to her for this experience. Yesterday, as we’re wrapping up our group journey together, we had a video hangout arting experience where we chatted while working on full moon vision boards. It was a delightful moon-centric experience. I really like the board I created, and look forward to seeing what unfolds from it. If you’re inspired I encourage you to check out Melissa at her Wild Earth Spirit site.
Another person with an obvious lunar name connection is Tammy Mae Moon of Moon Spiral Art. Tammy is a gifted artist and I love all her work, but I’m especially grateful for her totem spirit drawings. She did one for me last year and it’s beautiful and quite powerful. She worked with nothing except my name and yet her connection was brilliantly aligned and her identification of the totems and spirits I work with was amazing. I especially thought about this yesterday as Bear has recently been really stepping forward, and as you can see it has a third-eye connection for me.
Do check out her website and her Etsy shop.
What about you? Who are you grateful for? Have any interesting moon connections to share? What did today bring that you’re adding to your gratitude list? Do tell – you know I love to hear.
I completely agree about how wonderful blogland is for connections. It’s something I’ve been thinking a great deal about lately. Thanks for your introductions!
Yes, yay for the interwebs and the ease of connecting.
As a practicing Shaman power animals are forever in my heart especially bear. He came to me when my brother died and put a patch on my heart to help me heal. <3 The moon itself is another energy I love to work with and my gratitude for it and what it does for us is over the moon.
I am just plain grateful for everyone in my life. There are so many it really is hard to name but a few. My husband and daughter come to mind first of course, but then as I said there are some many wonderful people that I have had the pleasure to work with and more that are continuing to be in my life. My cup runnith over with gratitude.
I love the picture and will be sure to check out her website.
What a beautiful gift from Bear to help you in such a hard time Kelli. And it delights me to hear your gratitude cup is overflowing – that’s so wonderful.
