Today Kat McNally’s Reverb14 Day 4 prompt is:
We are all lightning rods, conduits for that which the Universe wants born into this world. What energies did you channel this year?
Oh what a fabulous image – each of us as lightning rods!
While I believe we’re all channels, I literally DO channel non-physical energies as part of the gift I express. The Beings I work with offer more expansive perspectives and higher frequency energies, and offer messages of love and unity consciousness. And these are the messages I carry.
I hope I channeled the energies of honoring your own uniqueness, listening to your heart, and loving-kindness.
When I was a kid I was out playing one evening and lightning hit nearby. It scared me and I ran inside, only to be greeted by my mother who freaked out seeing me. Apparently my very long hair was standing up in Van de Graaff generator style. I think about that sometimes and imagine that’s why I always draw myself with spiky or spirally hair despite the fact that I actually wear it shorn no-maintenance short.
What do you think – does this look like me?
What energies did you channel this year? Ever had a close encounter with lightning? Like to wear fortunes in your hair? Do tell – you know I love to hear.
Yes I did. I am a glider pilot and in my teens I was gliding inside the storm cloud. It was dangerous and scary but I was going after the diamond (5000 meter up in the air). I did see lightning up close and very personal and I will remember that experience to the rest of my life.
Oh wow Evalina – what an extraordinary experience! And how delightful you’re a glider pilot. That’s something I’ve always thought would be the most amazing experience.
I love the energy that you channel. It is positive and joyous and so encouraging.
Thanks Cynthia.
Oh my! I do love reading your blog posts! What a fun story about your mom seeing you with your hair standing on end! Then thinking about the energies you channel….such deep work. I responded to this prompt on such a different level…and now want to think more deeply about the kind of energy you wrote about here in this blog.
Thank you Deborah!
While this is my first year playing in Reverb, I SO love it. Not just for the juicy prompts, we because we then get to check out how others have responded. There is such richness in our various perspectivess, and it delights me.
Wow! That image of you as a child, running inside with your hair standing on end is amazing!
The energies that you channel are so palpable here, Deborah. I also want to thank you — from the bottom of my heart — for the love and encouragement you have been extending to the Reverb14 community. So many times I have stopped by a post to comment and seen that you have already been there, offering words of wisdom and kindness. It’s beautiful. And so very much appreciated. _/|\_
Such kind words Kat – thank you! And I extend my gratitude to you for all the loving effort you put into Reverb – not only the fabulous prompts but taking the time to visit the posters. It’s a big and loving commitment and it deserves very many kudos. Yay you!
“Wearing fortunes in your hair.” I’m so in love with this!
LOL – it’s a very important fashion statement in my world.
