I’m convinced the world is a better place because of love letters, and that we should all write more of them.
Dear 2013 –
Thank you for everything – I’ve so loved our time together. The good, the hard, the moments of crystal clarity and those more wobbly ones – they were all gifts I’m grateful for.
I’ve been on my spiritual path here for a long time and on this earth walk even longer, and yet you managed to surprise and delight me – showing me new connections and deepening my understanding.
You invited me to drop some of my long-held stories; to judge less and love more. You filled my days with art and soulful conversations; early morning coffee with my beloved; new friendships and old. Thank you for the moon walks and pink-striped dawn skies; for the preposterously frilly peonies and the heady-scented lilacs; for those perfectly ripe blackberries and that bottle of astonishingly good white wine. For the signs written on my hands and for the star maps; for the feathers delivered magically when I most needed them; and for the laughter and bubbles and essence-infused chocolate. All perfect.
I love you for this and oh so much more. And I love that you managed to slip me the perfect cookie fortune reminder on this our last day together.
I’ll do my best to keep my feet on the joy trail and am so pleased we had this time to journey together.
Love always,
Deborah
Awwww, looooves to you, too, Deborah!
Thanks Kara!
Great fortune! Happiest 2014 to you and Pete.
Thank you Candace. And wishing the same for you.
