Today Kat McNally’s Reverb14 Day 3 prompt is:
It’s all too easy to put off loving where we are until everything is perfect. What can you love about where you are now?
Although I’ve never actually done it, sometimes I think it would be fun to put together a playlist of this-is-who-I-am songs. It’d be a pretty big list, but if I had to narrow it down to one, I suspect I’d choose Amy Steinberg’s Exactly.
It’s how I feel about my life. That I’m exactly where I need to be and that I’m a blessing manifest.
My life is filled with so much goodness. I do work that I love; I am well-loved and love well in return. I have a rich internal life; I know who I am and am committed to aligning myself as fully as I can with my divine soul self and expressing that as brightly as I can in the physical; and I know myself to be a powerful creator being and accept responsibility for creating the life I want. I’m on a mission to surround myself with only treasures; I like keeping my face turned to the sun and my heart to the moon; and I’m constantly questing for more awareness, for more balance, for more open-heartedness. I love that I’m connected to Bee, to Spider, to Crow, to Elephant, and to Whale; and I love that I have a deep relationship with flowers and trees and the stone beings; and I especially love that I have a strong connection with my support team in Spirit.
It’s not that I haven’t worked at it or that my circumstances have been remarkably free of sadness and grief and pain. Hardly. And I certainly wish I were in alignment with fabulous financial abundance. I have great visions of the dream home that makes my heart sing and I most definitely have plans for the big-scale kind of philanthropic work a fortune would fund. I wish I didn’t live quite such a sedentary life or had quite such a love of food and had the healthy fit body to prove it; and I definitely wish I were exponentially braver and more wild.
But the absolute truth is I love me and I love my life. I love that I woke up today and have another opportunity to be on this adventure called life, and I love that I get to peek into the lives of others on this journey as well. So tell me – what do you love? You know I want to hear.
Deborah! I love the serenity and calmness I find when I land on your blog. I am so happy for you that you know who you are, and like you, I have also worked through a lot in my life in order to have less pain and suffering now. I too LOVE my life. One of my totems is the alligator and I LOVE the wisdom they bring to my life.
It delights my heart to know you love your life Hallelujah. And how wonderful to have alligator as a totem. I read an odd little book about them once and have been fascinated ever since.
love amy steinberg. love that song. love the energy it creates in me.
Exactly! 🙂
Oh Deborah, I do love you and your post ♥

Such kind words Tracy – thank you!
You are living such an abundant life, Deborah, I hope financial abundance is just around the corner for you.
Thank you for your kind wishes Tat! I DO live an abundant life and I feel very blessed indeed.
Thanks so much for the kind words on my blog — I’m so happy they directed me to your site! This is my new favorite thing EVER: “I like keeping my face turned to the sun and my heart to the moon.”
You have a lovely blog Noel and I’m delighted you stopped by to visit as well. What double fun Reverb is – the reflecting and the opportunity to connect with folks.
Sounds like a good place to be. Here’s to abundance in 2015!
Indeed. Here’s to welcoming joyful abundance for all of us in 2015.
This is beautiful. Thank you for celebrating your self with us! x
Thank you Kat!
“I love that I’m connected to Bee, to Spider, to Crow, to Elephant, and to Whale; and I love that I have a deep relationship with flowers and trees and the stone beings; and I especially love that I have a strong connection with my support team in Spirit.”
That quote is one of the many reasons I love you!
Thank you for this rhapsody of loving-what-is. I need a good dose of it right now, as I’ve been sick for a few weeks and am bordering on grumpy. There’s nothing like being sick to remind me that I love being healthy — love it lots! — and that 98% of me is just soaring with good health. (When that lagging 2% catches up, just think of the fun I’ll have.)
Warm wishes to you.
Wishing you a quick recovery Harmony – we want to see you soaring and having fun!
Your posts emit an aura of peace, contentment, and gratitude. You must experience joy on a regular basis. It is always a pleasure to read your posts.
Thanks Sharon. I do my best to keep my heart and feet pointed to the joy trail.
What a beautiful and heartwarming post. Thank you for introducing me to that song. LOVELY!! Oh, How I always enjoy visiting you here. Your look on life and all that it offers touched me deeply. I feel the same way but have not ‘spoken’ about it out loud so you have inspired me. I tend to journal my thoughts privately. THANK YOU for the inspiration and the song!
Thanks for the kind words. You have a beautiful “voice” Elda and you bless us by sharing it.
