Sweet Salutations of Spring!
I’m always delighted to celebrate the equinox – this natural reminder of balance. Astrologically when the wheel turns to Aries it’s considered the start of the new year, and that makes a lot of sense of to me. Don’t you feel the stirrings of new beginnings? The air feels filled with potential and possibility, and it finally feels like time to push forward.
I love watching Spring arrive. I’m hopelessly awed each and every year. That utterly distinctive luminous Spring green simply wows me, and my eyes search endlessly for little glimpses here and there. Tiny shoots of green are poking their heads out in my garden and I spotted the first robin this week so clearly things are on the move.
I think Rumi describes Spring perfectly:
“Lord, the air smells good today,
straight from the mysteries
within the inner courts of God.
A grace like new clothes thrown
across the garden, free medicine for everybody.
The trees in their prayer, the birds in praise,
the first blue violets kneeling.
Whatever came from Being is caught up in being,
drunkenly forgetting the way back.”
That’s certainly how I want to embrace this season.
I wish you a most wonderfully abundantly season filled with magic and delight.
I’m still hoping for one more good snow, but it is nice to hear the robins!
Happy Spring Mary, but I’m going to leave you alone with your wish for more snow. 🙂
Have a wonderful green spring!
Thank you! Since I know you’ve already got the green going and the fabulous birds frolicking, I wish you a Spring that’s not too hot.
Happy Spring!!
( Ok, I just wrote “Happy Spring!!” … and it wouldn’t let me comment because it was too short! LOL)
Wishing you the happiest of days on this first day of Spring!
LOL – how funny! Even my comment app knows you’re a woman with much to say! Wishing you a wonderful Spring.
Yeah, I like to think of spring as a new year too. The nature starts a new cycle, long winter nights are getting shorter and life is bursting all around us. (Our robins came about a month ago.) ?
Happy Spring Evalina – wishing you much magic and delight!
A glorious season! And thank you for the surprise Spring greeting in the mail. You always hit me at just the right time! Much Aloha to you!
Wishing you a wonderful Spring Vicki, and much aloha always.
Hi Deborah – certainly Spring lightens our footsteps and our hearts … a little extra warmth in the air and I’d be really happy! Cheers Hilary
What a lovely way to think about Spring Hilary, as a lightener of our steps and hearts. That’s a perfect Spring sentiment indeed.
