Ten thousand flowers in spring, the moon in autumn,
A cool breeze in summer, snow in winter.
If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life.

A small stone today, which I’m linking to Artsyville’s Glue It Tuesday and Lori Moon’s May Flower Challenge. I invite you to stop by and check them out as well.
What’s making this the best season of your life? What unnecessary thing can you release and thereby uncloud your mind? What ten thousand flowers do you want? Do tell, you know I love to hear.
I love the carefree flowers. Did you paint these and then glue designs over the circles? Very clever. My season: I am learning to release patterns/core beliefs that no longer serve me. It’s tough, but I’m trying. 😉
Yes, I started with a copy of a painting and then glued on the circle flower patterns. I’m thinking that circle painting is going to get morphed into lots of things – it feels complete as is, but also full of potential for other lives as well. 😉
And yay you Betsy for working on releasing those beliefs! May you continue on with ease and grace and ever-increasing joy!
just lovely — both the collage and the poem!
Thanks Aimee.
Ah…those sweet 10,000 blooms!
I want to spread a blanket in their midst.
I want to enjoy the beauty of their delicate petals.
I want to breath in deeply and smell the sweet fragrance.
Alas…only in my dreams!!! Ah…ah…choo!
Did I mention I have asthma?!!
That is what I choose to release…all symptoms of the dreaded spring thief!
LOL – you are a delight Ruth! And were I in charge of such things, I’d wave my magical wand (decorated in flowers of course) and banish asthma, allergies, and excessive sneezing. 😉
I love how similar and yet different both images feel. Great collage!
~Dawn
Thanks Dawn.
I like how you created the flowers and bird on separate pieces, and then brought them together in your final collage. Not letting my mind be clouded by unnecessary things…now THAT is useful advice! 🙂
I love the advice too Andria about an unclouded mind – and I’m pretty sure there’s a series of art waiting to explore that image. Thank you for stopping by.
your piece is so simple and beautiful! This season I’m trying to participate in so much art, my selling online has definately changed. And I don’t care! {:-Deb
Thanks Deb. I do tend towards the simple. And yay for a season of art and following your heart with what feels right.
Your artwork makes me feel a thoughtful kind of peacefulness. The words are paired perfectly with the collage. In gratitude.
A thoughtful kind of peacefulness – that’s lovely April. I’d love that to be an overarching theme of everything I do in this world. Thank you for stopping by -I appreciate it.
There’s always something more that you can let go to make life easier. Recently I have done some life “spring cleaning” and I must admit I am so glad I did. I am having the best time of my life right now. I quit my awful soul sucking job to go to school full time for massage therapy which is absolutely my passion. I love helping others and making them feel more relaxed, stronger, and healthier. Finally something that I can do that I love that helps others at the same time. It’s incredibly rewarding. My husband and I are in the best shape we’ve ever been and are happier together than ever. I absolutely encourage all to get rid of life crap!
Yay Tiffany – congratulations on making changes to shape your life into the wonderful soul-satisfying expression it can be.
It’s a lovely thought… what can I release? I am trying to let things sit around the house and not jump on cleaning up. Trying to slow down. 🙂
Oh good for you Naomi – a little slow time can be so balancing.
I am currently reading The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. Your quote made me think of this book, which I am thoroughly enjoying. Quieting the mind is a challenge and creates such a wonderful space to be in.
I’ve not heard of the book Michele so I just goggled it. Sounds great. I’ll have to add it to my reading list.
