I delight in this liminal time as one calendar year ends and another approaches.
I’ve spent time reviewing my year, the one guided by Revelation, and celebrate all the wonderfulness it has held. After harvesting the fodder for my brain and heart, one of the things I’ve done for the past few years is put together a little Blurb book of my year. I include month-by-month spreads with highlights and photos, and plenty of lists such as books read, favorite songs, titles of dreams, and my new favorite category: fabulous words I’ve fallen in love with. While the software is quite easy to use to make a Blurb book, it does take a while to actually design the pages choosing colors and layouts and deciding on text. So while I’ve gathered everything I’ll be using, I’ll save putting the book together for some snowy afternoons later this winter.
And I’ve also been looking forward, doing some visioning, setting intentions, ready to move across the threshold into 2015 with some delicious momentum. How fun!
I love my little Janus 2-headed figure – isn’t it the perfect symbol for the threshold of the years? Eyes open friends – let’s see what magic we bring into 2015 with us.
Happy New Year, Deborah! I love the idea of the blurb book! We have our windows open right now as we prepare to usher in 2015. It is something we do every year and it is so refreshing! I am looking forward to this new year and new friendships we have made during Reverb and elsewhere. 🙂
Oh and I must add that I love the Janus two-headed figure!! 🙂
LOL – thanks Tracy.
Happy, healthy, prosperous, sparkly New Year to you and Pete!
Thank you! And wishing you a most fabulous 2015!
