Every Monday morning I connect with a group of friends and after checking in on how our past week went, we set intentions. I love this little Monday ritual to start my week off – it’s fun, it’s powerful, and we never gather without laughing which to me makes a perfect way to enter the new week.
One of my intentions this week was to figure out a couple technical things on my computer. And trust me my technophobe tendencies don’t win me many awards in the handles-this-with-ease-and-grace department. But I invited in the energy of laughter and joy in February and here’s an unintentional example of that intention – a selfie I accidentally took just after I figured out the computer thing.
The whole thing makes me laugh and you even get to see my crow puppet on a stick looking over my shoulder and supervising it all.
I hope you invite some laughter into your week and welcome a happy surprise or two.
For the new year I created an intention mandala. This set my intentions for 2013. Boy, it has thus far turned out to be very powerful.
I love your crow puppet, btw! 🙂
An intention mandala sounds wonderful Belinda!
Love the post since it hits home and so recently. I used to consider myself quite tech savvy but things are changing so fast, what I used to be able to do isn’t enough. I solved a problem myself yesterday and had to also get help. Good lesson. Sometimes you need help and sometimes you don’t.
It’s so true Sheila about how quickly tech things change. I need to get better at judging what I’m capable of doing and when it’s time to let someone else handle it, so I’m not wasting time, effort, or needless anxious. Here’s to increased clarity to match increased technology! 😉
Thanks for the smile. I’m glad you kept the picture; it’s actually quite a nice little pic. I agree with Sheila that just about the time I thought I had it figured out, it got more complicated. I’m thinking that soon it might be time to start paying people for some of this stuff.
I think that’s a great plan Kate. Make more room in your life for what you love, and welcome those who love to do what you don’t. Win-win.
Where do you live? I want to come to your Monday morning connect! LOL. Sounds like soul food to me… that can feed you for a week! I love it!
Oh I love that Kirsten – “weekly soul food.” It certainly does feel like a nourishing way to start my week.
I’ve had lots of laughter and fun this week and it sure makes a difference in how I feel. Laughing has a very strong sense of healing!
Yay for laughter and fun – it really does shift things doesn’t it?!
