It’s been a while since I’ve played in Jamie Ridler’s Wishcasting Wednesday, and today I was inspired to take a peek and check out her prompt – What limits do you wish to set?
Interesting question. And there are some things I’d like to limit – like those annoying naysaying gremlin voices; the mighty procrastination waylayer; and perhaps – just a little – some of those sparkly glittery things that distract me when I’d be better served with keen focus.
But on the whole, I think what I’ll wish for on this Wednesday is more in the way of limitlessness. I awoke this morning from a wonderful dream in which I had a bottomless basket filled with bright shining stars (the celestial kind) and heart-shaped rocks. And I was happily passing them out to anyone who passed by. What fun! And it turned into a lovely little street party. Each person received a different message from their star or heart, and everyone was excitedly sharing their insights and celebrating each others’. It felt so expansive and joyful and harmonious.
I woke up remembering Rumi’s beautiful observation:
Every object, every being, is a jar full of delight.
And so that’s what I’m wishing for this Wednesday – unlimited boundless joy and delight; unlimited heart connections; limitlessness in remembering we’re all in this together and exactly where we need to be, shining brightly.
Later this morning I came across this poem by Jor Kane:
you might ask
how an ocean fits
inside a boat.it is the same as
how the soul fits
inside the body.to feel infinite
yet so contained.this is the way of magic.
How perfect is that?!
Are there some limits that would be helpful to you right now – some structures and containers that would feel welcome? Or is there some place you want to experience the expansiveness of limitlessness? I’d love to hear.
Love that poem at the end–thanks for sharing it!
As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well.
Wow ~ beautiful words “Every object, every being, is a jar full of delight.”
… and the soul fitting into a body ~ beautiful to just ponder.
I’m so glad you decided to jump in and play today!
As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also ~
Ahh…yes, those sparkly glittery things…they get me, too. Here’s to unlimited boundless joy and delight. Thank you for sharing this post!
Beautifully said! As you wish for yourself, so do I wish for you as well.
